Muntari Is My Role Model – Mubarak Wakaso

Ghana midfielder and new kid on the block, Mubarak Wakaso has revealed that he takes inspiration from Ghana International, Sulley Muntari.

The 22-year-old midfielder became Ghana’s latest sensation after his goal saw Ghana beat Cape Verde 1-0 in a friendly match played in November on his international debut.

The Player who plies his trade for Espanyol in Spain was likened to Muntari during the early stages of his career and therefore his revelation that the AC Milan player is his role model isn’t much of a surprise.

“I really love him because he is a great player. But I can never be Sulley Muntari even though when I was a kid they used to call me junior Sulley.

I only have good things to say about him and I hope one day I achieve the level he is,” he said.

Wakaso is one of the players likely to make the final Ghana squad for the Nations Cup in South Africa.
