Man bites girlfriend’s thumb off during argument

Ricardo Marquis Davis is in police custody after allegedly biting his sometimes-girlfriend’s thumb off during a fight. “During the course of the drive to work, they got into a verbal argument,” a Palm Bay, Fla., police spokeswoman said. “She kind of pushed his head and he responded by biting [her thumb.]”

Davis reportedly bit her thumb completely off and spit it onto the floorboard of the car. The woman sought emergency medical treatment and is being advised by social services; doctors were unable to reattach her thumb. Davis is being held on charges of aggravated battery. [Source]
