Marking his 2nd year in office as President of Ghana, John Mahama inspected the guard of Honor and observed proceedings from afar as the guard officials at the flagstaff house ceremoniously handed over their duties.
Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, Her Ladyship the Chief Justice, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Service Commanders, the Diplomatic Corps and members of the general public as well as Pupils from the Flagstaff house barracks were allowed to observe proceedings.
The President inspected a well choreographed handing over ceremony by uniformed guard officials to new all female guard workers led by Lieutenant Alice Anoe. The all led female army contingent would be responsible for the safety of the seat of Government and the presidency and would be held responsible for any security breach.
This is the 14th change of guard at the Flagstaff house since its inception in 2013 by John Dramani Mahama.
