The track ‘Bayla’ which was originally composed by Tema based group R2bees and Sarkodie has become a track all artiste are jumping onto. We earlier saw a refix by Kesse and Jupita which was followed up by a wonderful collabo by the Oseikrom boys Stone of Bradez fame, Cabum and Strongman of the Next Big Thing In Gh Hiphop Show. A couple of underground artistes have also tried their skills on the beat of the track. The latest of the refix to hit us is Yaa Pono who once changed his name to Proverb but still uses his earlier brand name Yaa Pono.
In the track ‘Bayla’ refix by Yaa Pono, the Tema based rapper disses Asem ,Guru and the versatile man Okyeame Kwame. Pono in the song blew his own horns as he usually does. The rapper described his freestyles as hits and and rejects the president’s calls. The rapper expressed himself as he made it clear in the song that he doesnt beat around the bush which means he is not afraid of anyone in the industry. He asked rappers not to hit at him because he is like a daily bread and no one can leave without it. The artiste on the chorus complained of R2bees staying there idle for Asem to run away . even though R2bees’ name was not mentioned, that’s what he meant upon critical listening to the song. The controversial rapper who said he spits his rhymes without fears said anyone who wants to catch Bayla which has the baddest odour should check Guru’s house. did he mean he had body odour? Best rapper Alive (BRA) Okyeame Kwame had his share of the cake where he was described as ‘Alata’ (Nideria) Lil Wayne. The rapper also blamed him for not buying aeroplane and because of that his urine smells from Ghana up to Ukraine. The rapper in the conclusion asked Ghanaians to study Asem’s nose and described it as the hiking boots timberland.
Well Yaa Pono has said a lot and we are waiting for someone to reply him. The ‘Bayla’ refix by Yaa Pono is a nice tune and will receive attention needed because of the style the rapper went by.
