MUSIGA president Obour in no time will once again contest the MUSIGA presidency.
One person who recently made his plans to aspire for the presidency known, is Appietus. The music producer in an interview on Happy FM in Accra revealed how much Obour earns a month.
I’m surprised with the announcement of this ¢3000 filing fee because that’s not the amount they took in the last elections. I sense that since I declared my intention to run for the seat, Obuor is trying to make it difficult for me to contest but three thousand is nothing to me so it’s not a problem. Even if they take ¢10,000, we will file the nomination.
To me the ¢3000 is cool. I know the politicians are paying about ¢25,000 filing fees but we musicians also have money and we play shows and get more than ¢3000 per show. If you are going to vie for a position like that and your pay is going to be ¢2500 a month which might probably increase before you enter office, then the filing fees is okay.
I think Obour is receiving ¢2500 at the moment. so whoever wants that position should be able to put up ¢3000 to file. I’m not worried about the filing fee at all.”
