Augsburg and Ghana’s defender Baba Rahman has passed a medical ahead of his move to Chelsea, according to media reports coming out of UK.
Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter said there are further details to discuss with Jose Mourinho’s side over his contract.
His agent confirmed earlier this month said that the Ghana international had agreed to join Chelsea.
Chelsea already reached an agreement with the player on a 5 year deal worth €2 million net a season.
Two million euros sounds like a hefty amount, but it translates to less than £30k a week. They’re talking net, however, so let’s double that number to account for taxes, which gives us roughly £55-60k per week for the 21-year-old.
It’s not the cheapest, but obviously we can afford it and by all accounts, Baba is pretty good at his job and should only get better.
