Presiding Officers, Biometric Verification Officers, and Name Reference Officers among others who volunteered during the 2012 general elections are yet to be paid,OMGGhana has gathered.
Returning officers or district officer are yet to make due their payment two months after elections.
The volunteers have complained that their calls have not been attended to and have been met with flimsy excuses by the returning officers.Recent excuse, according to a volunteer, district office is being taken to court,Accra-based CITI FM reported.
The EC has since assured that it will make the payment when the funds are ready.
