Ghana music has come a very long way and has given birth to many artistes.
Of cos in every industry, there are the good, the bad and the ugly and Ghana music is no exception. many have entered the industry as rappers but every line that comes out of their mouths is an insult to the art of rap. They either don’t have the flow, the flair, the swag, the punchlines and the attitude.
In plain language, we can say they are just lame with their rap. This doesn’t mean they didn’t sell, yes, you heard me right, these artistes sold records and some are still selling records.
Below are our all-time wackest rappers Ghana has ever witnessed.
1. D-Black
We love him for his business acumen. But we don’t know why this dude raps still. He’s a business man period. His rap has been considered lightweight by many rap followers. He isn’t deep with his lyrics, stays basic.
2. C-Zar
I still can’t understand how this dude was able to gain popularity with his songs. The rap was so bad yet he says his rap is ‘rappable’. That is like the lamest line I’ve ever heard anyone say. That pretty much sums things up tight?
3. Kokovelli
He made waves with his nonsensical song, Zaa Za. No wonder he couldn’t stay in the game, the terrain is too hot for him to survive with those childish rap lines.
4. Pharaoh
“Mi Pharaoh medi mi rap, maba, maba miiba ab3y3 wo cool, na ma san so arapi wo cool………..Pharoah hwie mi filla, filla”. I guess you remember this rap verse from the classic tune, “Odo Esisi Mi”. Geez, I wonder how he went to the studio to record that.
