Tanzanian musician Ray C at one point sold her house and property in order to get money to buy drugs, it has emerged.The musician, in an one-on-one interview revealed that she closed down all her businesses to finance her lifestyle. She was introduced into the murky world of drug abuse by one her ex-boyfriends and being a blonde on matters drugs, was unaware that he abused drugs when they hooked up.

The sexy singer, who at one time held the East African charts after going solo from the girls group Blue 3, dedicated her life to cocaine and heroin addiction. Which was the begging of the fall of her music career.
3. Chidi Benz
Tanzanian rapper Chidi Benz was officially admitted to rehab following drug abuse that lasted years.Known best for his collaborations with Nonini the bongo star was checked into Chidi Bagamoyo sober house for rehabilitation. He has since been sober.

Jimw@t, whose ‘comebacks’ have failed to materialise. After getting fans through Under 18, Sitoi Kitu Kidogo and Roundi Hii, the Calif Records artiste went under, with his addiction seemingly the root cause of his woes.

Bamzigi confessed to having been an addict in an interview saying,
“We would go to a city five-star hotel where our supplier would hire an exclusive room occasionally at the rooftop with a beautiful view of the city then we would shoot up. They make you feel like they are giving you the world yet it’s your life they are crushing. Most suppliers aren’t consumers of the stuff themselves. They will watch you go down and wait until you recuperate then sell you some more. It’s really easy to get hooked that way,” said Bamzigi in a previous interview.
He has since cleaned up after rehabilitation.

Labalaa would allegedly sold his household items to fund his drinking problem, which saw the talented MC quit singing for more than a year. He has since been sober
8. Harry Kimani
Harry Kimani is said to have visited rehabilitation centres on numerous occasions to fight his addiction. As recently as August 2013 , he was checking out from another establishment, still exorcising the addiction ghost.
