Nigeria has over 3.3 million Internally Displaced People, making it the highest number in Africa.

A lot of these internally displaced people have little or nothing to survive on and have been victims of violence, poor housing, abuses, and conflicts. You may ask, who exactly are they?

An internally displaced person (IDP) is someone who is forced to flee his or her home but who remains within his or her country’s borders. They are often referred to as refugees, although they do not fall within the current legal definition of a refugee.
