Bad faith, thy name is Ralph Napierski. Napierski is no holy man; he just plays one around cardinals. On Monday, the Aussie prankster was booted from the Vatican by the Swiss Guard after it was found out that the man calling himself “Basilius” from the “Italian Orthodox Church” was not, in fact, a clergyman. He had simply snuck into a meeting of 100 cardinals. Before his jig was up, the fake bishop (wearing an “unusual” cross necklace and a purple scarf as a sash) gave an interview to reporters, telling them the church had “made a mistake by moving priests” accused of molesting children to different parishes.
