Nduom Can Take His Tundra, I own A Toyota Corolla Which Is Stronger – Akua Donkor

The Presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor has indicated that she is not in the least worried over the re-possession of the Toyota Tundra vehicle by Papa Kwesi Ndoum, flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

According to Akua Donkor, she has her own car, and Papa Kwesi Ndoum was deceiving himself if he thought she was going to walk after taking the car away from her.

The Toyota Tundra vehicle became a matter of controversy when Paa Kwesi Nduom and the PPP requested Akua Donkor to return the vehicle after the 2012 elections since it was given to her for campaign purposes.

Akua Donkor however refused to return the car and indicated that the car was in return for her supporters and since she had aided the party to a third place on the election standings, she wasn’t going to return it.

However, Papa Kwesi Nduom had his ‘men’ tow the vehicle from the home of Madam Akua Donkor when she wasn’t at home.

Speaking on Peace FM’s midday news; Independence Day special, Akua Donkor stated:

“I have my own car but my driver is only familiar with Kumasi route and not that of Accra and so I didn’t bring it to the celebration. My car number is AS 1919-11; a strong Toyota Corolla I bought with my own money.

Even before Papa Kwesi invited me to work with him, I had my own car,” she said.

Akua Donkor who was at the Independence Square for the 56th Independence Day celebration, also pleaded with the president to pay attention to the school children who have been fainting regularly during the parade due to heat, hunger and standing for a long time; ‘at least he should give them food to eat before going to the parade because I saw a boy and a girl collapsing.
