Ken Kiprono aka Ken Ring has officially become the first Kenyan and East African to join Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Studio.
The Sweden-based producer will be moving to Kingston, Jamaica where he will be one of many producers from around the world to create quality world reggae music.
If you remember the iconic hip hop group Kalamashaka, then it shall come as no surprise to you that Ken Ring was the brains behind pioneering the team.

The producer, who is also a seasoned rapper, has collaborated with popular artistes among them one of the world’s best reggae bands of all time Morgan Heritage.

Ken is a multi grammy nominee and has released 9 studio albums so far.

Ken is also said to be building a large studio in Kenya, with plans to take over the African hip hop industry.

The Tuff Gong studio is said to have a conducive vibe for creativity.

This may be because the mixing board in the studio is the same one used by the “King of Reggae” Bob Marley on all of his records.
