22. Miyan Zogale

MIYAN ZOGALE. There was a time when I would say; "O this tribe cooks better than that tribe bla bla bla…" When I became a food blogger I became more open minded and started experimenting with everything and anything food related and my figurative scales fell off my eyes. There is no tribe that cooks better than the other. Not Calabar, not Yoruba and not Itsekiri etc. There are culinary delights everywhere you go in this country. I am not trying to sound politically correct, I am just being plain honest. Personally I find well prepared Eforiro tastier than the acclaimed "man snatching" Edikang Ikong…well that's just my choice. I am not from either tribes. What do I mean by making this comparison? Simply put, be open minded when it comes to food. I used to look at Northern Nigeria as the part of the country with the least delicious delicacies. I am more than happy to eat my own words. Miyan Zogale showed me how stupid and myopic I was. This soup will knock your panties off your waist and twist them in nuts. Moringa leaves are so delicious. Paired with pounded yam etc Miyan Zogale is one of Nigeria's best delicacies. I am happy to say that it has become one of the soups on my kitchen's wall of fame. #NigerianFood #FoodPhotography #MiyanZogale
