Nigerian Cinematographer, Yinka Edward Has Just Been Nominated For The BAFTA Award

BAFTA stands for British Academy Film Awards and it is an award that rewards excellence in film production.

Yinka Edward who is a Nigerian cinematographer that is behind amazing Nigerian movies such as ’76, ‘Phone swap’ and ‘The Figurine’ has been nominated for a BAFTA award. He clinched the nomination for his work as a co-director of photography on the animated movie, ‘A love story’.

 

The animation was Edward’s graduating project from the National Film and Television School (NFTS) Beaconsfield, England where he gained a Masters degree in Film and Television Production with a focus on Cinematography.

Yinka has had an illustrious career as a cinematographer and has worked on award-winning movies such as Mak  ‘Kusare’s ’90 degrees’ which won an award as the Best Feature Film, Zuma International Film Festival. He was also on the team of BBC’s acclaimed series “Wetin Dey”. He has also been nominated for an AMCVA award.
