Nigerian Illustrator, William Chechet Turns Powerful National Icons Into Amazing Art

Williams Chechet is incredibly talented and making a huge statement with his work.

William Chechet is a Nigerian-born graphics designer, illustrator and muralist. His work is vibrant, colourful and powerful. His series ‘We Are The North’ is influenced by Pop art which is art based on modern popular culture and the mass media, especially as a critical or ironic comment on traditional fine art values. In his interview with CNN, he said:

I want to immortalize renowned Nigerians that helped build the nation through the use of pop art.
