The Paga crocodile pond has a very interesting history around it. It is claimed that the crocodiles are the ancestors of the people.

For years, they’ve been there and have never attacked any human being. They’ve bonded with the people and even visitors and so with just a chicken and libation, you can even sit on them and take pictures. Yes! sit on the crocodiles.

5. Feeling very comfortable and riding it like a horse

When in Ghana meet my new friend Mena. In Paga, crocodiles are sacred. They symbolize water for the community. They do not hunt them. When they die they bury them. They never eat their meat. In return the crocodiles are tame and welcome the chickens they are fed when visitors like us come. I was more afraid of the chicken than this guy He's a young 96 years old, was pretty neat to be that close to this guy.
