Children are quite appreciated in the Nigerian society.
When a couple gets married, all the elders pray for them to have children, and when they eventually have children, there’s a lot of celebration. But we all know that Nigerian parents don’t just have kids for nothing. Here are some of the real reasons that Nigerian parents love to have kids.
1. To wash plates
Nigerian kids are practically dishwashers that are alive.

2. So people can call them ‘mama and papa lagbaja’
In Nigeria, people use ‘Mama’ or ‘Papa’ as a prefix before adding the child’s name. That’s probably why some people have kids, so they can be referred to as mama somebody.

5. So they can have someone to teach them how to use their new phones
Nigerian parents love buying gadgets that they don’t know how to use. So they need kids to teach them how to operate their devices and use ‘Wazzup’.

6. And someone to always bring the remote for them
Nigerian parents are fond of calling their children from far away to bring the remote control that’s right beside them.

7. They also need someone to do all the things they didn’t get to do

8. Free housework too
Nigerian parents never have to employ anybody to do the housework once they have kids. You will clean, scrub and cook.
LOL! We still love them, though. You might also want to see the things you can relate to if you grew up with a Nigerian mother.
