9 Stunning Photos Of Halima Aden, The Hijab-Wearing Somali Model

You don’t come across Hijab-wearing models everyday.

Now there’s one and she’s stunning. 19-year-old Halima Aden was born in a refugee camp in Kenya but moved to the US aged six and is now being described as fashion’s face of 2017. She is currently a freshman at Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota. She signed to IMG Models after making headlines for competing in hijab at her state’s Miss USA pageant last year. Aden became the first woman to wear her traditional Muslim headpiece for the entire competition.

Despite her young age, Halima has already walked the runway for major fashion brands, such as Ma, Mara, Alberta Ferretti, and Yeezy.
