AFAG Lacks Credibility – General Mosquito

The General Secretary of the National democratic Party (NDC) has stated that pressure group the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) lacks credibility and therefore the NDC will not respond to them.

AFAG recently at a press conference in accra accused the NDC of receiving sponsorship from a Chinese company contrary to the Act 574 of the political party’s code. The group claimed that Chinese telecom infrastructure and device vendor, Huawei Techologies Ghana Limited has donated paraphernalia like t-shirts, key holders, and handkerchiefs to the NDC ahead of the December general elections. AFAG is therefore calling for Huawei to be kicked out for dabbling in the country’s politics.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia responding on Asempa FM, stated that a formidable party like the NDC will not be bullied by a political group like AFAG to react to a baseless accusation. He indicated that AFAG is a pro-NPP group and they are just doing the bidding of their pay masters hence the NDC will not allow itself to be drawn into it.

The NDC Gen Secretary noted that the ruling party is focused on winning the elections to ensure the Better Ghana Agenda is completed.
