Athletic tokers can now start training for the Olympics, because the World Anti-Doping Agency, the group that oversees Olympic drug use, has increased its previous limits tenfold on the amount of THC that can appear in an athlete’s system. The previous threshold of 15 nanograms of THC per milliliter of blood is now 150 nanograms per milliliter. Olympic snowboarder and cannabis advocate Ross Rebagliati, who in 1998 tested positive for THC at 17.8 ng/ml and nearly had his gold medal taken away, applauds the measure. Dubbed “the public face for pot-smoking athletes,” Rebagliati defended fellow Olympian Michael Phelps after he experienced his own pot-related scandal. [Source]
