The last thing one would expect is for the controversial Ghanaian musician Wanlov the Kubolor, to be named the president of the Republic of Ghana.
Surprisingly, several tweets on social platform Twitter.com seem to suggest that some Ghanaians are calling for the Foes of Kwame Nkrumah (FOKN) member to contest for the presidency in the next elections.
The ‘Beatrice’ hit maker who is currently working on his ‘Cos of Moni’ movie in an interview with NEWS-ONE admitted that he has heard the calls of the people and he will start working on this campaign as soon as he arrives in Ghana.
“Yes I have heard about the ‘Wanlov for President’ movement. But currently, I’m out of town. My campaign will start as soon as I get back to Ghana,” the ‘Koti Sori’ hit maker told NEWS-ONE
According to the ‘What U Dey Fear’ singer, he does not know what amounted to these call but perhaps his all-day walk through the streets of Accra to raise funds for the U.S. earlier this year with his lyrical twin M3nsa could have contributed to the calls.
“As soon as I get back to Ghana, I will be working with the kids at akosia.org for a 4 week filmmaking project with 40 children from Street Academy then I will also be promoting Bryte, the winner of Big in Ghana. We are also working hard for the premier of the Coz Ov Revenge movie in December. I will also be undertaking some area clean-ups and sanitation awareness. So you see, my campaign starts as soon as I back to Ghana,”
