East African Hip Hop sensation Navio is set to electrify the Big Brother Finale Stage this Sunday.
Navio born Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, first grabbed East African audience attention as part of the Ugandan rap group Klear Kut. Klear Kut consists of Navio together with his teen friends; JB, Langman, Papito and The Mith. After releasing three successful albums together the group members decided to each pursue solo careers.
The year 2008 saw him launch Navcorp, an entertainment company set up to manage his affairs. In May 2009, Navio launched his debut album ‘Half the Legend’ at a star studded concert in Kampala supported by local stars like Bobi Wine and Julianna.
After having successfully conquering the East African market, he took the next step to make his mark internationally. Navio headlined his first American tour where he performed at the Uganda North American Association (UNAA) event in Washington. He also performed to in front of large crowds in Boston.
The East African muso has performed alongside the likes of DJ Babey Drew who is the official DJ for American chart topping R&B singer Chris Brown. Navio is also is part of the famous One8 project together with other African stars such as 2face, Amani, Fula Pupa and AliKiba. His best known songs are ‘Ngalo’, ‘Nawuliranga’, ‘Bugumu’, ‘Otyoo’, ‘Badman from Kamwokya’ ft Bobi Wine and ‘Ruckus’ ft Peter Miles. In June of this year he finally released the video for his long awaited single ‘One and Only’.
