A man known as Akom has slit his throat leading to his demise in the central region.
Explaining to an Accra based radio station Neat Fm the Assemblyman of Ejumako Essiam stated that at 10:00am in the morning he had a call telling him of that the said Akom had slit his throat but was not dead.He called for Akom to be taken to the hospital.
He stated that the man died an hour after he was taken to the hospital.
Reasons for the suicide is unknown but the Assemblyman disclosed that Akom who is an alcoholic and a drug addict cut his hand a month ago after taking some alcohol and weed and therefore believed the suicide is owed to the influence of drugs or the man had taken “juju” and was trying it.
The body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue with police undertaking further investigations.
