PNC Wants Ayariga Out Of Elections

With barely three weeks to the General elections, information reaching us indicates that parliamentary candidates of the People’s National Convention (PNC) are planning to petition their National Executives, to take Hassan Ayariga, their Presidential Candidate out of the December Elections.

It has been indicated that the parliamentary candidates are far advance in his campaign. According to sources, they have actually begun collecting signatures from the 94 parliamentary candidates who have indicated that they no longer have confidence in Mr. Ayariga. They are accusing him of working against the party and its parliamentary aspirants.

Mr.Ayariga has come under lots of criticism after the second IEA organised Presidential Debate. He has been accused by both his party members and the opposition NPP for working in favour of the NDC. Party Executives have also indicated that their flagbearer should be rebuked by the National Executives Committee.

Menawhile General Secretary of the PNC, Bernard Monah has indicated that there will be no such action against the flagbearer since the case being made by the aggrieved executives had no merit.
