There has been a lot of talk these days about how our African women have deserted our culture and rather wanting to be like the white woman by bleaching, with the latest being the wearing of wigs which makes them look like white women.

A website documented the amount of money women spent on wigs alone and it was whooping. It’s also stated the effects of wearing these wigs. The story goes on and on.

So how is this trend emerging? When we checked, we realized it was emanating from our female celebrities because women love to do exactly what their favourite celebrity does and funny enough when we even tried to do a list on celebs with natural hair, it was difficult getting 10, but for those with wigs and weaves, we are sure it’s almost all of them.

But among all these western “wannabes”, we still have women who have decided to change their hairstyle to natural or carved an image for themselves that way and most men admire them and today we wish to bring to the fore, 8 of such celebrities and how we appreciate their stance.

Avram Grant nearly sacked midfielder Andre Ayew from Ghana’s camp in spain.

The incident, which happened last week, saw the 59-year old Ghana boss begin moves to axe the player from Seville after the Marseille man reported late to camp. But the vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee, Kudjoe Fianoo, stepped in and asked the coach to reconsider.

“Myself and [committee chairman] George Afriyie had to intervene and apologise on behalf of Andre Ayew for arriving late in camp because Avram Grant was very unhappy about the player’s late arrival in Spain,” the administrator told Happy FM in Accra.

Fianoo added:

“Grant sees Dede as a player who could lead the team in the future and expects him to lead an exemplary life.”

Fans of the national team have long wanted the disciplinary whip to be cracked, especially after the worldwide negative publicity the country gained at the last World Cup.

Andre is said to have been apologetic and offered an explanation for his lateness.

Bizarre News: This Man, Kwadjo Peter Died, Was Buried For A Year And He Resurrected – Listen To His Story – Pictured

Hell fire is certainly blazing and in there is the late Pope John Paul and Michael Jackson, Kwadjo Peter has revealed.

On his way back to life, the latter who claim to have spent a month on the other side of life, claimed he has seen things other people can’t see.

It all started when the “resurrected” folk claimed he collapsed whilst playing football with his friends. For this reason, he was rushed to the Begoro Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead by a doctor and his body was deposited at a morgue for preservation.

According to relatives of the deceased but now “resurrected” Kwadjo Peter, he begun to respire again and asked for water from the morgue attendant but out of fear, he struck him (Peter) with a stick and this took the life out of him for the second time.

“When I asked for the water, the mortician told me that I should go back to sleep because all of my friends are sleeping.

He used a stick on me and the mark is still imprinted on my body as proof of that incident”, Kwadjo Peter recounted on Peace FM.

In the next world, Kwadjo claims he started flying and got infuriated by the fact that he could still see his family and friends but none responded to him whenever he called out their names. He claims he even tried holding his one year son but it was to no avail.

He then met a bearded man who directed him to follow him on a narrow path. He obliged and was shown the Biblical hell fire with Michael Jackson and Pope John Paul trapped in it.

Family members tell their side of the story.

A church elder of the Divine Church of Jesus accompanied Kwadjo Peter to testify on his behalf. According to Elder Godwin Abui, he was at the funeral of Kwadjo Peter and even paid him his last respect at Akusu where he was buried.

Gifty Annor, wife of the former deceased, also testified that when her husband passed on, he was kept in the morgue for one month but after he was buried, a man appeared and everything he did was similar to her husband. She claims they reunited and everything about him shows that he has indeed returned from the land of the dead.

Kwadjo Ebenezer, a brother to Kwadjo Peter reiterated the above points shared by Elder Godwin Abui and Gifty Annor but an expert in pathology and a renowned bishop, hold contrary views.

Experts punch holes

Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa, a Professor of Pathology, was called by the station to offer his view on the matter. According to him, he has only heard similar stories about the dead resurrecting but has never seen one before.

As a medical practitioner, he wasn’t so sure if a certified doctor had pronounced Kwadjo Peter dead before he resurrected. He cared to know if the dead body had also been stored in the morgue with formalin (a medicine used to preserve dead bodies) before the resurrection took place. From the medical expert’s point of view, he claims none of Kwadjo Peter’s internal organs can function if formalin was used on him.

“Formalin makes your liver as hard as stone, your heart can never beat again and this makes it hard for you to respire”, he said.

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev Owusu-Bempah, wasted no time pointing out aspects of Kwadjo Peter’s remarkable story which are subject to Satan‘s machinations.

He explained that “from the Bible we only get to know about the dead resurrecting when Jesus Christ was around, but in Kwadjo Peter’s case,” he wondered “where Jesus stood to make that miracle happen.”

Manhyia Palace Summons Afriyie Acquah’s Wife, Amanda For Mentioning Otumfuor In Her Infamous Audio

Amanda’s infamous audio was nothing but trouble on it’s way from day one of it’s release. We knew trouble will come since she mentioned names that didn’t need mentioning.

According to a report on Happy FM, elders of the Manhyia Palace where Otumfuo resides are not happy about the way their King was put through dirt in the infamous rant of Amanda, the wife of Black Stars footballer, Afriyie Acquah.

The report states that the palace and it’s elders have threatened to use her as a scape goat to those who tarnish the image of the King of the Asantes, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II

Happy FM’s website reports

A friend of the Manhyia Palace and a member of the communications team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Ali Maradona has intimated that Amanda will be used as a scape goat for dragging Otumfuo’s name into disrepute.

This comes in the wake of a scathing audio supposedly recorded by Amanda, wife of Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah which suggested that the King of the Great Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuor has had some sexual escapades with a certain lady known as Mona.

Alhaji Ali Maradona blurted out that Otumfuo was so surprised on hearing the news and added that it was so unfortunate that the act of spewing blatant lies about Otumfuo in recent times is on the upsurge and must be clipped and discouraged in no uncertain terms.

People have spewed several lies about Otumfuo and anytime those of us who are very close to him want to take action, he implores us to stop but for this particular case, we can’t let it go into the drain otherwise it’s going to continue unabated. We will use her as a scape goat to teach others that the Stool is sacred and cannot be desecrated by anyone.

Ali Marodona revealed on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo’ sports.

Ali further revealed that some elders of the Palace and Otumfuo’s brother, Nana Gyebi came to Accra to invite Amanda for questioning at the Manhyia Palace but unfortunately, she had traveled out of the country.

I came to Accra with some elders of the palace, including Otumfuo’s brother, Nana Gyebi to pick up Amanda for questioning but we were told she has traveled to Germany.

People in the Ashanti Kingdom are raging with anger as to why the lady should desecrate their venerable Stool and it will be appropriate that some punitive measures are meted out to her if it is found out that those allegations are false,” Ali Maradona added.

Stephen Appiah Retires From Football – Statement

Stephen “Tornado” Appiah has finally decided to bid farewell to his Football career!

He has released a statement and it reads below.

After two decades and over of what has been an illustrious professional football career, I formally announce with deep nostalgia my retirement from football. I wish this day never came because football was life- my life. It made me whole.

From the sandy pitches at Indadfa park in Accra where my career was honed to the grassy green field in Turin, Italy where my career blossomed, I tell with profound humility a great true story of a Ghanaian patriot who with nothing, from nothing, rose to become a global icon thanks to the power of football.

I retire today with a great measure of fulfillment not just because I bowed out high as captain of the Black Stars but because I bowed out serving my country with honour and selfless dedication in what was, is and will always be the most important sport or activity in Ghana.

To this day, one of my proudest achievements in my career is playing and captaining my country. Every time I wore the most inspiring jersey in the world, the ‘Black Stars shirt’, I realized how fortunate I was not to only follow in a long line of great players that have played for Ghana but also the joy of representing every Ghanaian that cared passionately about their country. I’m honoured to represent Ghana both on and off the pitch.

In my service, I made mistakes. I probably stepped on some foots; I definitely annoyed others and broke many Ghanaian hearts for not winning a trophy in my tenure even though we came too close many times.

And whilst under my tenure we achieved the single most important dream of qualifying Ghana to the World Cup in Germany 2006, we also shattered many Ghanaian hopes of reaching the semi-final, the first by an African country in our second attempt at the World Cup in South Africa 2010.

Africa was down, Ghana was down and we the players were down too. I remember that episode with a great deal of pain but for a game that holds no certainty one can only grieve in silence and move on. We moved on.

My journey to the top echelons of Ghana’s football was not always a bed of roses. It couldn’t have. I remember, as if it were yesterday, the days at ‘lavender Hill’ when I had to train in the sandy beaches of Korle-gonno, a not too fragrant environment. Those were the days when I had to juggle between going to training and still think about what to eat after training.

I remember my days with Accra Hearts of Oak and how my commitment to the game opened a great door of opportunity for me at Starlets 95. I grabbed that opportunity and the rest they say is history.

My career has sent me to many places; brought me closer to many people and I have a dozen more to thank and be grateful to for their immense contribution in my life.

As I close the chapter on my playing career, I want to thank God for how far He has brought me. Thank my family for the support they gave me, thank all my team-mates both Ghanaians and other nationals, thank the great and intelligent managers that I had the pleasure of learning from and most importantly the numerous fans that cared passionately about me, their teams and their country and also supported me and gave me the strength to succeed.

Nothing can ever completely replace playing football, however I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead. I am still open to possibilities with whatever football has to offer from now till when my maker decides to call me.

Signed
Stephen Appiah

The Ghanaian Cedi Is Starting To Depreciate Against The Dollar

$

The Ghana Cedi appears to be coming under some pressure again only days into 2015. This has seen the local currency go down marginally.

For instance as at last month, one needed 3 Ghana cedis 1 pesewa to get a dollar from the Forex Bureau, but it is now 3 Ghana cedis 4 pesewas to a dollar.

Head of Research at Group Nduom, Kofi Ampah attributes this to increasing demand for dollars for imports.

“Greatly we look at it from the point of traders looking at the fact that they need to restock. You know that most of these industries at the beginning of the year will also have made projections whether repatriation of capital, which could be one reason. So therefore they would have to change their local currency to dollar.

Industries may be needing more dollars to also import whatever commodity they work with which could account for the slight depreciation of the cedi, he added.

Mr. Kofi Ampah however advised traders not to panic saying “it is early days yet”.

Meanwhile, a Senior Economist at the University of Ghana Legon, Dr. Eric Osei Assibey says government might have to come up with some new measures to halt any free fall.

“Government has to be very proactive and anticipate to be able to put all these scenarios into consideration and do a better prediction of how the currency is going to be.”

Samuel Osei Kuffour Assaults Woman Over $30,000 – Here Is What Happened

Internationally celebrated former Ghanaian footballer, Samuel Osei Kuffour, is reported to have taken the law into his hands and assaulted a female shop owner at East Legon, a suburb of Accra where the rich live.

Osei Kuffour is alleged to have gone to the shop, De Joy Enterprise, together with a group of men with heavily built muscles, to assault the shop owner, Agnes Opoku, and some of her shop attendants in what seems to be an attack provoked by land litigation.

A worker of the shop is said to have sustained injuries and the case has been reported to the Legon Police.

The highly respected footballer is said to have paid an amount of $30,000 to someone believed to be the owner of the land on which the shop was built. The supposed landlord after receiving the amount from the former Bayern Munich player, is said to have vanished into thin air.

The news was first reported by www.ghanasportsonline. com and the site said Sammy Kuffour refused to grant any interview to the media.

NEWS-ONE also tried without success to get his version of the story.

Further checks revealed that the footballer has since been charged with assault after a complaint was lodged by Madam Agnes Opoku, the shop owner.

Sammy Kuffour may find himself in trouble if investigations find him guilty of the accusation.

2014 ended with a couple of Ghanaian celebrities being dragged to court for various offences after they found themselves on the wrong side of the law and it seems the trend is continuing in 2015.

Blame NPP For Nayele’s Cocaine Scandal – Says Asiedu Nketia

$

0

The National Democratic Congress says if there is any group to blame for what has become the Nayele cocaine scandal, it is the opposition New Patriotic Party.

The governing party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, at a press conference Wednesday said it was under the NPP’s administration that the convict was introduced to cocaine dealing and the party must be held responsible for her act which led to her incarceration.

Nayele Ametefe, 32, was handed an eight-year jail sentence by a UK Court for drug trafficking on January 6, 2015

She had concealed 12 kilograms of cocaine in her luggage to the UK and was arrested at Heathrow Airport on November 10, 2014. She had breached Ghana’s aviation security with the alleged collaboration of some high-ranking security officers, some of whom are being prosecuted in Ghana.

She was also said to have used the VVIP section of the Kotoka International Airport prior to boarding her British Airways flight.

Her arrest, detention and quick prosecution in the UK has generated lots of controversy in Ghana with the two biggest political parties- the opposition New Patriotic Party and the governing National Democratic Congress- knocking each other in the head and raising issues of complicity.

It was the NPP which threw the first salvo accusing the President of complicity. The party, among other issues, did not understand how the convict had access to the VVIP section of the airport, a place reserved for the president and high-ranking government officials only.

They also cited the ‘hasty’ visit by Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Victor Smith, of the then suspect Nayele Ametefe as well as what they claim was conflicting information by government spokespersons on the scandal as basis for government’s complicity.

We all know about the infamous audio in which Afriyie Acquah’s wife, Amanda threw jabs at several people who have slept with Kenpong’s girlfriend, Mona.

The infamous audio which went viral made mention of “Otumfuo” a title given to the king of the Ashantis. This infuriated the elders of the Manyhia Palace and the Asantehene for dirtying the image of their king and called for Amanda’s head.

Sources closer to Amanda has revealed to the guys at AllSports.Com.Gh that she wasn’t referring to Otumfuo The Asantehene in the infamous audio but another Otumfuo.

Below is what the source said;

Amanda did not mean the Asantehene when she said Otumfuo, she was referring to somebody else who also goes by the same name and never the Ashanti king.

Any inconvenience, embarrassment or discomfort this may have caused the Asantehene is deeply regretted and she apologises profusely for the mistake.

Afriyie Acquah is extremely sorry and is pleading with the Asantehene and his people to forgive and forget. He will come out with a full statement on the issue at the appropriate time,” the source revealed.

The player has had a tough week but he is totally focused on the Black Stars preparations towards the Africa Cup of Nations. He is determined to help the national team finally bring home that elusive 5th Africa Cup.

13 Reasons Every Woman Should Masturbate Regularly

$
0
0

Historically, masturbation has gotten a bad rap, but a party for one is still a party. And this is one party you’ll actually feel better after attending. Masturbation has some awesome health benefits and feels really really good.

Research shows most women over the age of 18 have masturbated at least once, but few women do so routinely. According to Indiana University’s National Survey Of Sexual Health And Behavior, only 7.9 percent of women between the ages of 25 and 29 masturbate two to three times a week whereas 23.4 percent of men do. C’mon ladies, we deserve better than that.

Masturbation is a normal, enjoyable and healthy experience. It’s time to put the taboo subject of women and masturbation to bed and realize a little menage a moi might be exactly what you need.

So, dim the lights, burn some candles and hop into bed (or whatever your routine may be) — it’s time to partake in a little self exploration. Here are 13 reasons every woman should masturbate on the reg:

1. It makes you happier.
“We know that pleasure makes people feel good,” Streicher said. It’s really that simple. Orgasms release the endorphins dopamine and oxytocin, which can improve your mood and create a natural high. Who needs drugs when you can make your own?

2. You become more comfortable with your body.
Your body should be your best friend — it’s one of the only things that will be with you your entire life. And part of becoming besties with your body includes exploring it. “It is extremely important that women have an appreciation of their own anatomy and how to self-pleasure,” Streicher said. Time to hit the books, ladies.

me time
3. It can improve your sex life.
Masturbation allows you to explore your body and find out what feels best. Knowing your body in this way can make you more confident in bed and more vocal with partners. Once you figure out what you like, you can tell your partner where to touch you.

4. It helps you sleep.
There’s a reason most of us feel so sleepy after those toe-curling climaxes: Orgasms physically and emotionally relieve tension and exhaust the body, which allow you to fall asleep quicker. “Generally people do sleep better after masturbating, but very often it’s from feeling relaxed and satisfied,” Streicher said. Masturbation helps people sleep the same way reading a book before bed does — you feel calm and relaxed after.

5. It’s a great way to release sexual tension.
If you’ve chosen to not have sex or are simply going through a dry spell, masturbating is a great way to satisfy your libido.

6. Masturbating can ease body aches and menstrual pain.
“If you have a uterine contraction while self-stimulating and a uterine contraction can help menstrual blood come out faster… theoretically it’s going to help with cramps,” Streicher said. While she cautioned that the research behind this benefit is relatively limited, Streicher said there’s no reason not to masturbate while on your period: “It’s never a bad thing and if it seems to help you then go for it.” Either way, it’s more fun than a heating pad.

truth bomb
7. It relieves stress.
“Anything that makes you feel more relaxed and gets you to turn off the day, whether you do yoga or get a foot massage, it’s all the same thing,” Streicher said. “It’s not that it has to be sexual but sex and self-stimulation is definitely one of the ways to relieve stress.” Sounds like an awesome way to unwind.

8. Masturbation helps your body stay sexual… even when you’re not having sex.
“If you’re between partners, there’s a very strong benefit to keeping things going by self-stimulating — not only in terms of keeping the tissues elastic and healthy and increasing blood flow, but just getting your brain going,” Streicher said. “We know that sex and arousal starts in the brain… The more sex you have, the more sex you want because you think about sex more. If you have someone who hasn’t been sexual for a very long period of time, in most cases, they’re not even thinking about it.”

9. There are tons of cool gadgets to help you masturbate.
From hands-free vibrators to buzzing faux lip stick bottles, there’s a vibrator for every lady.

vibrator
10. If you’re in a relationship, it’s a great way to mix things up — and keep you coming back for more.
As Streicher noted, the more sex you have, the more sex you’ll want to have. It follows that the more you masturbate and become comfortable being sexual with your own body, the more you’ll want to be sexual with your partner. “We know that being self-sexual is going to stimulate the part of the brain that is going to keep your libido alive and well,” Streicher said.

11. Multiple. Orgasms.
Understanding how your body works helps you know exactly how to pleasure it. Once, twice, three times — it’s up to you! Climax is often times only at the end of sex for men, but women can keep going. Why stop at one?

12. There are no downsides to it.
Masturbation has “absolutely zero negative effects,” Streicher said. “Nothing bad can happen from doing it — you can’t catch anything, you can’t get pregnant, you’re not going to get sick. It’s the best thing out there as far as a feel-good vice that isn’t going to have any negative repercussions.”

13. It feels f*&^%$! amazing.
No explanation needed.

Clear your calendars, a little “me” time starts now.
