Information trickling in indicates that the presidential press corps have been involved in an accident on the Afienya-Dawhenya whiles returning from an official assignment.
According to eye witnesses, the Ford mini bus in which the journalists were travelling, burst a tyre and veered off the road leading to the accident.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the accident has so far claimed one life, a reporter with The Ghanaian Times whiles the rest are battling for their lives at the 37 Military Hospital with severe head and body injuries.
The journalists were returning to Accra from the Volta Region where the President attended the annual convention of the EP Church.
