Kumasi : 4 Nigerian women to be put before court for human trafficking
Four Nigerian women are in the custody of the Ghana police in Kumasi for engaging in human trafficking as sex contractors. The women are alleged to have deceived numerous Nigerian girls between the ages of 14 – 22 with hopes of securing them better jobs in Ghana. Upon reaching their destinations, the girls are forced into an act of prostitution police says.
According to sources in Kumasi, the women plied their trade at the Adum Tasco guest house, where they were apprehended by the cops following a tip from a pastor in the area. DSP Sarah Aba Afari speaking to OMGGhana.COM said, a total of 46 girls have been rescued, the ages of the girls are said to be from 15 years with the oldest being 21.
One of the girls whose name is withheld in light of police investigations disclosed to OMGGhana.com that , she arrived in the country 2 weeks ago and has since slept with 10 men who only pay a measly 30GHC per session.
