The last few weeks have been rough for Stella Mwangi (STL) after she was exposed for lying about battling American rapper Xzibit.

However, things seem to be looking up for her at the moment. Word on the street has it that American cable channel BET Networks confirmed that Stella Mwangi’s single, ‘Set it Off’ which is from her EP – Big Girl will feature as a soundtrack on episode 3 of Being Mary Jane Season 4.

Image: STL/Instagram

The episode is set to air on 24th January, 2017 (for the US audience). So if you have BET on your Pay Tv package, make sure you check it out.

Being Mary Jane centers on successful broadcast journalist Mary Jane Paul (played by Gabrielle Union) and her professional and private family life while searching for “Mr. Right.”

What’s surprising is that this isn’t Stella’s first track to be featured on a Hollywood project.

Her single ‘Big Girl’ was used by Donut Media – an American production that showcases the coolest cars. Kinda like Top Gear and The Grand Tour.

Kudos to Stella Mwangi. Also, see how she is the queen of African-inspired outfits.

This is Yvonne Nelson.

YvonneNelsonGh/Instagram

On Monday, January 23, 2017 she lost the man who brought her into this world.

Yvonne confirmed the sad news early Tuesday, January 24, 2017 but didn’t give further details.

Yvonne Nelson no make up

In 2016, Yvonne granted an interview where she detailed her not so good relationship with her father saying:

“My dad was not a part of my life because he wasn’t there for me. So, I almost do not say anything about him because there is no relationship or love between us. My dad is like any other person out there because I didn’t have a chance to develop a relationship with him. We have each other’s phone numbers and he calls me when he feels like talking to me. It always feels like talking to a random person because there are absolutely no feelings whatsoever.”

#RIP Daddy Yvonne Nelson!

15 Countries Around The World That Best Describes Ghanaian Universities

$
0
0

There are many Universities in Ghana but did you know that each one can be likened to a country in terms of behaviour?

Here are 15 Universities in the country that can best be described by these countries.

1. University Of Ghana – England

Always speaking big English and are loud but we don’t really know what they do best. They can be found everywhere around the world and always want everybody to know about their greatness. They are very fashionable and have no time for other universities. They mostly churn out lawyers, economists and politicians. That’s the reason why they feel they control the world but the world does not see it that way.

2. Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science & Technology – China

English is not their prowess but when it comes to Technology, they speak it. They are good at developing things but unfortunately, it doesn’t get the needed recognition it deserves.

You are the best

3. University Of Development Studies – Finland

People don’t really value them because they don’t make noise but they get the best education. The student population in the school is not that huge so their lecturers have time for them. This makes them come out great.

Thumps up for that

4. University Of Cape Coast – India

They have one of the toughest exams in the country and brag about how they are more intelligent because of their marking system but we don’t see any improvement in their performance when compared to other Universities.

5. Ashesi University – Japan

They churn out the best technology students who produce top quality and innovative technology but hardly make noise about it.

You're awesome

6. Ghana Institute Of Management And Public Administrations – Russia

All the people who want to be there have political ambitions.

Image: popsugar.com

7. Central University College – Luxembourg

Everybody knows it is there but we don’t even know what they do.

Image: giphy.com

8. Ghana Technology University College – Canada

They have a great name and because they are affiliated with America, everybody gives them respect but we don’t really see their performance.

Wooooww

9. Valley View University – Saudi Arabia

Their enforcement of strict religious practices is way above the mountain. You can’t just do things anyhow including wear short skirts, crazy hair styles etc.

She laughs at your dry jokes

10. Regional Maritime University – Tonga

It is there but people don’t even know it exists, except those who are in the University and the only time we get to hear about them is when there is an advert or news about them.

11. University Of Mines And Technology  – Iraq

They are doing great and making money but nobody really wants to venture there and so few people attend the University.

Kanye West fake-laugh gif

12. All Nations University – Afghanistan

They were once a great nation but with time, they lost their significance and nobody cares about them anymore.

Image: Giphy

13. Pentecost University College – Israel

Everybody talks about them but nobody really goes there, even their students don’t want to mention they attend the school, just like Israelis. They are popular around the world and their people can be found everywhere but they hardly let people know where they come from.

14. Methodist University College Of Ghana – Nigeria

You can call it a Nigerian university due to the number of Nigerians in the school.

15. University Of Education (UCEW) – Liechtenstein

They churn out scholars and professors and nobody really knows what they do but most of them become lecturers and teachers.

7 Things Nigerian Men Do That Make Women Call Them Scum

$

Men are scum!

That is if you believe twitter or any other social media site. According to these sites, Nigerian men take the cake in “scumness”. If you read stories of heart broken women that have been dealt with by our Nigerian bobos, you’d agree that men are truly scum.

Many Nigerian men are defending themselves against the serial scum allegations. Naija women are still not believing them. Here are some things that men do to push women away and get labelled “scum”:

 1. Comparing you to their ex

You know these type of guys who compare every darn thing you do to the way their ex did it. If you cook Jollof rice before frying dodo, they’ll complain and tell you their ex fried dodo before cooking rice. You can’t please men like that.

Freindzone

2. Their mother’s word is law

Some guys can’t breathe without checking if it’s alright with their mum first. Their mother’s word is final. If you have any quarrels, his mum hears about it before the matter is settled.

kenyan mother

3. Being bossy and overbearing

Some men believe because they are men, their word is final. These are the ones that always want to control everything you do and boss you around. They always want to be right even when they are wrong.
